Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.
As Valentine's week came and went last week, I couldn't help but keep thinking about one of the things that really bugs me about this once-a-year holiday. How is it that so many people take just this one day of the year to dedicate to the loves of their lives? I mean, if you truly loved someone so much, wouldn't you celebrate them every day? And as I discussed last week, if Valentine's Day is truly just a day to celebrate the one you love, it sure does leave a lot of people out.
So I'm continuing this week with more love themed posts, not about people specifically, but about the many things that I fall in love with every day.
Anyone who knows me knows that music is my oldest true love. I fell in love with making music when I was 6 years old and I dedicated my life to it not long after it feels like.
To celebrate my love of music, I'm bringing back the Weekly Shuffle today! This one is a tad bit different than some of my others in the past as it has a little theme to it, and a hint to another true love in my life.

Weekly Shuffle
Well, I'm back from the house hunt. Bruised, burned, beat up, positively wasted. But still alive. Which is good.
And just so you aren't thinking it was a total flop, it was far from that--we found a home! And we love it. But the process of trying to buy that house successfully is the most time-consuming stressful thing ever. I cannot imagine what we would do if we did not have our amazing realtor to guide us (Seriously, she's the jam. If you ever move to Denver, let me know. She's the realtor for you.)
So I am still slowly recovering from the exhaustion of the last couple weeks. But hopefully all this turmoil will lead to a successful purchase! I'll keep you posted, my dear internet cosmos.
And as an apology for being away for so long, here's your shuffle for the week. Tell me, are you listening to anything particularly amazing? I'm in need for some great cross-country road trip tunes for the upcoming trek to CO.

Weekly Shuffle + Ode to FL
Happy Friday, my dear internet cosmos! I hope you had an amazing week and I hope the weekend holds some fun for you all. We are headed to CO on Monday to begin (and hopefully finish) the house search. So far, browsing homes online has been tons of fun mainly because my imagination goes crazy thinking up all the ways I can decorate a new home.
Recently I came across this adorable bathroom makeover and was frankly shocked that I liked it. I'm never one for a theme room, but I think they hit "nautical-yet-not-ashamed-to-like-the-beach" on the head with this one. Maybe it would be nice to incorporate a little tasteful beachiness into our new home as an homage to the sunny sandy state we are leaving behind.

Vday Shuffle
In honor of the holiday, I made you all a special edition of Weekly Shuffle. Believe it or not, all these songs actually did come on my shuffle today--I truly only had to leave out 4 songs. I guess my shuffle is in cahoots with Hallmark, Nestle, Godiva, and whoever the top selling teddy bear company is.
Disclaimer: Not all the songs are about successful love--some are downright depressing. But about love, nonetheless. And therefore equally appropriate for the holiday.

Weekly Shuffle
Many of you know by now that I am a musician. By trade, by choice, by passion, by hobby. So, I figured it was time to introduce more of a musical side to the blog.
Every week I will be posting a shuffle mix for you to either hate or enjoy. My point is to show you how unpredictable and completely random my music list is, and hopefully turn you on to some new music at the same time.
Now I will be honest--I have a lot of music in my reserves. Many of which I don't even listen to anymore and I haven't listened to in years. Some of which I personally think is just downright bad at this point in my life. But I figured that everyone's tastes in music are different so even if I would normally skip it while on shuffle, some others may not.
So, that's exactly what I've done: I opened my iTunes, clicked on "Shuffle" and let her rip. No skipping. No choosing. No hiding. And this is the result.
I hope you find some inspiration in these musical wanderings. And don't hold back--let me know what's on your shuffle today! I would really love to know.
