Noonday Collection {GIVEAWAY CLOSED}

I recently learned about an organization called Noonday Collection and got immediately excited about it.  Their mission is
"to create economic opportunity for the vulnerable" by partnering with artisans around the world and creating a marketplace for their goods.  Noonday empowers their artisans by offering no interest loans to help get their businesses off the ground, making advance payments on orders, and of course paying fair living wages.  In addition to creating a sustainable marketplace for underprivileged artisans, Noonday donates a portion of sales to help place orphans with forever families.

With the spirit of Thanksgiving still ringing in our ears, I thought now would be the perfect time to encourage you to "purchase with purpose" this gift giving season!  Supporting organizations, like Noonday Collection, that make a greater impact in the global marketplace and in the lives of everyday people in a real tangible way is something I try my best to support whenever I can.  I encourage you to go into this shopping season with a similar goal in mind.

To help you get in the gift giving spirit, Noonday is kindly giving away one $50 gift certificate to shop this holiday season!  All you have to do to enter is visit their website, and leave a comment below telling me what you would buy for yourself and one thing you'd gift to someone special (I'm eyeing this bangle, this scarf, and this leather tote.)   I will randomly draw a winner on Friday, December 5.

If you are in the Denver area and are interested in learning more about Noonday Collection (while eating, drinking, and shopping their winter collection, maybe with your new gift certificate!), I will be hosting a Holiday Trunk Show on Sunday, December 7.  Let me know in your comment below if you are interested in attending and I will send you more details!

If you are not in the area, no worries!  Just visit Noonday's website and fill up your shopping cart, then when you check out choose 'Dawn Post' as your ambassador, and type 'Megan Lombardo' in for the trunk show you are supporting.

Thanks in advance for supporting artisans from developing countries around the world this holiday season!  Now, get to shopping!

**Congratulations Eirin!**

  1. I would choose the Black Diamond earrings for myself and I would choose the Cobalt Feather Fringe earrings for my little sister. She's a fashion student in college while I am more understated. Pick me for the giveaway!

  2. I'm vying for the Erin Necklace for myself (hello, New Year's Eve!), and the Nahuala Oval Tray would make a perfect gift for my hosts over Christmas. This is such a beautiful collection!!

  3. I would purchase a market tote for my Mom, and one for myself. :)

  4. Hope this isn't a repost - This is a lovely site and I love the idea of gifts with a purpose - twice as lovely. My shopping list includes the market bags, the Ana scarf in YELLOW and the funky paper bead necklace. For others on my list, I would choose the Monaco necklace (classic) and the Jinja scarf.

  5. I could get in a lot of trouble with this site!! There is so much that I like! I like the galaxy wrap bracelet, the Ana scarf, and the orb cuff. I think the soaring high necklace would make a nice gift. :0)

  6. I adore this site and I am currently in the process of introducing Noonday to my friends in the Tulsa area! I would like more of their market bags and the Ana scarf for my dear friend Holly.

  7. Ok, I'm totally technologically impaired, so this is like the 10th time I've tried to write this post, BUT its worth it for a chance at $50 for this AWESOME stuff! How am I supposed to choose? I'd get either the silver jasmine earrings or bright stripes infinity for me, the minted Cowel for my mom, and the del Mar necklace and Angelica infinity for each of my sister-in-laws. Can't wait for Sunday!

  8. well, I'm a textile girl so I wish they were selling the skirts that the girls holding the "gift well" sign are holding! in that spirit, i'm liking the peruvian fire bangle for my bff, tina, who lives in australia. i send her a care package each year for xmas and her birthday. xmas is ready to ship so time to start collecting for the next box. until sunday!

    1. well, that first sentence was redundant and apparently i can't take it back! you get the idea anyway...

  9. I would buy the Woodland journals for friends and buy the Engraved Cuff Bracelet for myself. I would also buy a pair of the hand warmers for a friend!
    Beautiful, beautiful items!!!!

  10. I love the Peruvian shawl in grey, and I would buy YOU the scarf you like.
